Going back to the autumn of 2010 and here's Lisa's touching rendition of "My Funny Valentine" accompanied by Clifford Slapper on piano. A little insight about this secret concert: When three of Soho's leading ladies, Eddi McPherson, Georgina Sutcliffe and Lesley Lewis heard that the "Ubuntu Charity in Africa" was achieving amazing results with the education of under-privileged children, they wanted to help. They decided to support the charity, twin it with their local Soho Parish School and organise a secret concert at the French House on Dean Street to raise funds for both. With Soho being a village within a city, word soon spread and personalities such as Suggs, Steven Tompkinson, David McAlmont together with Lisa Stansfield and others who live and work in the area immediately came forward to volunteer their talent and support. Soho's favourite pianist, Clifford Slapper, volunteered as musical director - and other locals, including singer Paul Ryan and some of the top names in filming, sound recording and lighting, provided their talents freely. This DVD was a direct result of the good will of the Soho community. Limited sales of 500 copies were made available.
