The international open-air jazz festival, which is annually held in June in Lviv (Ukraine). The first festival was successfully held in 2011. Concerts featuring over a hundred world class musicians, performing on three stages in the city’s downtown area, over 100,000 spectators and around 200 accredited press reporters – this is story of the Leopolis Jazz Fest. The Guardian included festival in the list of the best European festivals.
In addition to concerts of jazz musicians from around the world, jam sessions, master-classes and autograph sessions of world jazz stars take place during the festival as well.
For over 30 years, Lisa Stansfield has combined soul and pop music in her work. Her first success came in the 80s. At that time, she would perform in the group Blue Zone. The composition Big Thing ranked 11th in the UK and entered the top 10 dance charts in America. Since then, Lisa Stansfield has sold over 20 million records.
Her first breakthrough was the 1989 album Affection and the singles: All Around The World (which reached the third place in the American chart and the first in the UK), What Did I Do To You, Live Together, You Can’t Deny It and This Is The Right Time. She has received many awards including Brit Awards, Ivor Novello Awards and Billboard Music Awards. In 1999, Stansfield made her debut in the movie Swing, for which she recorded ten songs. In recent years, she has released albums Seven (2014) and Deeper (2018).
Lisa Stansfield has recently announced her autumn tour 2019, which will be dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the release of her debut solo album Affection.
