Marvin Gaye was born on April 2, 1939 , he would have been 75 years old this week. Sadly , it was thirty years ago this week since his father tragically ended Marvin's turbulent life, just one day before his 45th birthday in 1984.
Heavily influenced by Marvin's music and the Motown era growing up, Lisa was asked to be involved on a tribute album to the man himself. In 1995 she recorded her version of "Just To Keep You satisfied" on the compilation album "Inner City Blues: The Music of Marvin Gaye" (also known as Inner City Blues: A Tribute to Marvin Gaye) released on the Motown Records label.
With such classics as ‘I Heard It Through the Grapevine’ , 'Sexual Healing' , 'Mercy Mercy Me', 'Let's Get It On', to name but a few, there's no mistaking that Marvin lives on and his music shows no signs of dating or becoming 'out of vogue'. He will be around as long as music is around. Marvin we salute you!

This needs to be posted on YouTube, she's the only one I ever heard that sang it just as good as Marvin

I think I've listened to this at least 1000x. It never gets old. The best song on the whole album. Her vocals are flawless.
